Retired in 2017 after 38 years in the Civil Service (20 of them overseas in the Diplomatic Service) and 15 years as an adviser to a House of Commons select committee.
Terry lives in East Harnham and is especially interested in the built environment and in education policy.

Vice-Chair Jeremy Edwards

After university worked overseas for 19 years, 16 of which were in Japan, returned to England in 2005, moved to Salisbury in 2013. Main career was at Honda in charge of non-factory operations in Europe and Africa. Among other business areas, heavily involved in renewable energy, both the supply of sustainable fuels, focusing on biomass and processed waste, and the optimum generation of heat and power with such fuels within Honda and in the wider community. Worked closely with the main power station utilities in Europe, such as Drax, RWE and with local and national governments. Left Honda in 2013 when they began the preparation for withdrawing from Europe. Since then, has run own renewable energy consultancy. Works with engineering groups and waste processors to help them produce a fuel which power stations in northern Europe can use from technical, regulatory and commercial angles.

Christopher King 

Until retirement Christopher has run the family building company for fifty years. The company specialised in important listed buildings, designing the work and employing and training fine craftsmen.

Christopher has been a councillor for Wealden District Council for eight years.

Dick Clements – Treasurer

is a chartered aeronautical engineer and retired professor from the University of Bristol. He also served in the Royal Naval Reserve for seventeen years. He was a member of the Executive of the Council of Military Education Committees for ten years including four years as Chairman. Dick is currently a Volunteer in Salisbury Cathedral archives

Nick Bacon

Nick worked for the Saatchi Group for seventeen years before setting up his own marketing services business in 1993. He floated the Mission Marketing Group on AIM in 2006 and joined the PLC board.
In 2010 Nick began a second career as an Angel Investor and Social Entrepreneur. He was founding Chairman of The Together Group CIC a business which employs ex-offenders to build and refurbish houses.
Nick has been a Trustee of a number or organisations including the University of the West of England, The Wallscourt Foundation, Scripture Union, Bristol Archdeaconry Trust and Bristol Old Vic Theatre.

Liz Slater

Liz Slater

Worked for most of her career in education policy, including fifteen years at the Department for Education. Subsequently established a company specialising in system-level education improvement strategy and implementation. Interests include historic buildings and landscapes. Liz lives in the Liberty of The Close and has recently finished a two-year restoration of a house listed Grade II*.

Peter Sigler

Having read Modern History at Oxford, Peter has been a practising solicitor since 1975. For a number of years he was a partner in a major London law firm, formerly know as Nabarro Nathanson. Having reached that firm’s retirement age, he became a partner, and remains as such, in Michelmores LLP: most recently he has been head of that firm’s Private Client Department. Peter’s previous involvement with a Charity was as the Honorary Legal Adviser to the Lord’s Taverners from 2008-2015. Peter lives in the Close. He has been adopted as trustee subject to AGM confirmation.

 

 

Liz Slater

Lee Davidson

After serving in the Parachute Regiment and completing a foundation course at the Prince of Wales Institute, Lee pursued architecture, becoming a qualified Architect in 2003.

He held positions at HTA Design and others before leading the refurbishment of Faringdon Station as Lead Architect in 2007. Lee set up in private practice in 2011.

His other interests include painting, sailing, conservation and heritage.

Lee has been adopted as trustee subject to AGM confirmation.
