Leaden Hall – Further Submissions of Objection to Planning Application

The Society has commissioned three experts to advise on aspects of the Leaden Hall planning application.  The result is the following documents:
  •  A detailed evaluation of the significance of the historic landscape of Leaden Hall by Dr Kate Felus, a garden historian; (Read the full text here…)
  • A review of the extent to which the applications and their treatment to date fail to meet planning requirements by Whaleback a planning consultancy specialising in places of special interest; (Read the full text here…)
  • A focus, by Rob Hughes of Incola on the lack of the requisite Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment which is particularly important given the sensitivity of the site. (Read the full text here…)
All of these experts have been a pleasure to work with.
In addition, the Society is delighted to report that the Historic Walled Kitchen Gardens Network has written setting out, in detail, its concerns about proposals for the gardens at Leaden Hall.   is attached. (Read the full text of their letter here…)
The chair has recently written to the Dean reiterating the Society’s willingness to engage in discussions about the proposals for Leaden Hall and the Tennis Courts Car Park/Marsh Close.
